Dr. Mohammad Rifat Haider earned his Ph.D. in Health Services Policy and Management from the University of South Carolina. He also obtained his master’s degrees in Health Economics and Population Sciences and Bachelor degree in Medicine from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Haider’s current research interest includes health services research on infectious diseases, e.g., HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis, big data analytics and its application in healthcare, economic evaluation of health programs, and health inequity in both developed and developing country settings.

The University of South Carolina's 28th President Harris Pastides, joined by Vice Provost P. Allen Miller, Dean G. Thomas Chandler, and the South Carolina Smartstate Center for Healthcare Quality (CHQ) faculty and staff, celebrated the NIH funded project titled, “Big Data Analytics of HIV Treatment Gaps in South Carolina: Identification and Prediction”  funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) secured by Dr. Xiaoming Li (PI) and Dr. Bankole Olatosi (PI), in collaboration with Dr. Jianjun Hu, Dr. Sharon Weissman, and Dr. Jiajia Zhang.  The celebration also included new team members that recently joined CHQ.  (September 1, 2017)
